Daily routines consist of hiking 10k through the bush to multiple GPS locations to survey wildlife and habitats while taking soil or water samples and record findings for biologists. Helping Archaeologists haul in equipment to dig and sift through dirt to find cultural or historic artifacts and record findings. Monitoring construction workers to ensure no unpermitted environmental impact occurs.
Ensured all medical equipment is inspected, certified and ready for an emergency. Provided care to workers who are injured or become ill at work. Complete site sign ins, company orientations, ERP and Hazard Assessments.
Cutting, trimming grass, planting, pruning, watering trees and plants in all gardens of the city. Provided facility inspection, security and maintenance sweeps to ensure superior levels of cleanliness and upkeep on both inside and outside the facility . Properly handled, transported and disposed of recycled materials; as well as any materials needed for maintenance. Built, flooded and maintained ice rinks; as well as an olympic sized speed skating oval. Operated equipment such as a zamboni, genie lift, forklift, scissor lift, tool cat and a zero turn lawn mower.
Daily equipment preparations, maintenance checks and hazard assessments were completed before the beginning and end of each shift. Maintained good communication with crew and road crew to ensure production was completed safely and on schedule. Operated CS-56b, CS563, 81F cat packers and John Deere 7330 tractor while building new roads, highways and an air strip. Operated a 930G Front Loader using a forklift and bucket attachment to transport materials for crew and clearing snow off site.
Worked on facilities, pipelines and fabbing in shop. Provided the welder with any required tools or rods to finish the task at hand. Used buffer, grinder, torch when needed. Completed daily field hazard assessment sheets. Helped with moving, or setting up pipe on skids using good communication or tag lines etc.
