Dedicated IB High School student with a strong understanding of the value of hard work eager to gain new skills and experience. Accustomed to working in collaboration with others and seeking a position that allows me to leverage my problem solving skills and passion for trades.
Through Youth Central has volunteered time towards a variety of causes including but not limited to:
The Calgary Drop in Lunch Service: helped prepare and distribute warm lunches to people in need.
Club 36 at Harvest Hills Dementia and Alzheimer's center: Socialized with seniors suffering with dementia, and helped them complete meaningful creative activities.
Calgary Military Family Resource Center: Helped guide veterans and their families through the resource center.
Advanced as one of the top projects at my school science fair to the calgary youth science fair on two separate occasions. The latter of which I won bronze, and the former of which was cut short due to COVID-19.
Was only a few of several thousand authors to be chosen to be published in the Polar Publishing Contest.
Received the Honors with Distinction award in Grade 10 for my grades.
Outside of school, I enjoy playing basketball. I found this has helped me by teaching me to better understand my role when working on a team, resolving conflicts as they arise, and overall building a welcoming environment to improve collaboration.
I also go to the gym 3-4 times a week. I found that this has taught me the value of working hard towards a goal, and discipline in completing a task that I do not necessarily want to do.
I have also picked up chess, which has improved my problem solving abilities.
