Instruct teachers from LAUSD by tying arts and science together. In this situation I taught a hula about Lahaina on Maui. We discussed the impact of the fire on this region, and the impact it had on the community and the environment. We examined the impact on ground water, and discussed how the winds and vegetation played a roll in fuelling this disastrous event. we discussed how human planning of diverting water was also a culprit in how this fire burned through the town.
