I am currently doing my final GP rotation in a beautiful practice in a rural area in King's Lynn.Prior to my final GP rotation,I did rotations in general medicine,Paediatrics and gynaecology.

Brief description of duties;
I attended to all the patients coming to the hospital with both medical, surgical and trauma cases.
I was involved in resuscitating and stabilising patients according to vitals by giving appropriate fluid as needed, oxygen when necessary, administerd emergency medications like hydrocortisone or adrenaline for anaphylaxis, secured haemostasis for bleeding patients.
I took history, checked vitals and did appropriate examination.I also did necessary bedside investigations, sent for specific investigations, arrived at appropriate diagnosis and managed accordingly while involving my seniors and specialists.
I involved patients in the plan, admitted and referred to specialist when necessary
I discharged stable patient after giving appropriate care, made a discharge summary and also gave follow-up appointment with a specialist.
I also advised patients and their families on health care including good health promotion ,diseases and accident prevention.
I attended clinical presentation/mortality review every Thursday of the week after which we discuss issues relating to service provision, clinical practice and patient care are discussed with the aim of improving them. Attendance is important and I took the attendance and kept the record as well.

Responsibilities
• First on call, saddled with the responsibility of Clerking and examining patients, stabilizing and resuscitating acutely ill patients.
