Work History

Geotechnical Project Assistant

WSP Canada
12.2022 - Current
  • Geotechnical study for the rehabilitation and reconstruction of the Gédéon-Ouimet Bridge and Highway 15 in Laval, between Boisbriand and Montreal, with the implementation of dedicated lanes to enhance mobility in the greater metropolitan region while ensuring the safety and comfort of users. The project involved rebuilding the existing roadway structure with a rigid pavement.
  • Conducting a geotechnical study for the construction project of an interchange at the intersection of routes 158 and 343 in Saint Paul. The project included the four-lane redesign of Route 158, with two lanes in each direction separated by a central median, stretching from Route 343 to Saint-Pierre Street in Joliette. It also involved building access ramps to the interchange and two retention basins in its center. Additionally, the reconstruction of the culvert at the Saint-Alexis St-Pierre stream was part of the project.
  • Conducting a geotechnical and hydrogeological study to analyze the composition and properties of subsurface soils and groundwater conditions. The purpose was to offer recommendations for the design and construction of foundations and slab on grade for four mixed-use commercial and residential towers in Brossard, Quebec. Two of these towers were 30 storeys each, while the remaining two had 26 and 28 storeys, respectively.
  • Performing a geotechnical study of the materials in the existing roadway structure and the subsoil infrastructure to provide geotechnical recommendations essential for the refurbishment of the entrance roadway at the Montreal Port.
  • Conducting a geotechnical and environmental study for the rehabilitation of Olmsted Road and the drainage path, incorporating the installation of erosion control structures on the south side of Mount Royal Park.

École de Technologie Supérieure (ÉTS)
04.2021 - 08.2023
  • RILEM TC280-CBE interlaboratory testing programme on cold bitumen emulsion mixtures to develop a consistent experimental framework for characterizing the mix design and performance properties of cold microsurfacings;
  • RILEM TC 295 -FBB testing program on providing recommendations for obtaining good results with FTIR spectroscopy on bituminous materials;
  • FP Innovation testing program on using as much lignin as possible as a partial replacement for the bitumen or as a replacement for commonly used polymers.
  • NSERC and Texel Inc
  • Joint research project to characterize the mechanical behavior of reinforce bituminous layers with geosynthetics.
