I have 30+ years of experience in the food and beverage industry and I'm searching for part-time evening work. I'm able to work in a dynamic atmosphere with minimal supervision while being fully engaged with clientele and management expectations. Opened original Vin Room location with owner Phoebe Fung in 2009, initially as an assistant sommelier and bought in as a minor shareholder in 2012. Responsibilities included on floor wine sales, staff training, inventory controls and maintenance of Enomatic wine dispensers.
Started as a letter carrier and advanced to an MSC position in 2002. Bonded employee working with minimal supervision responsible for self-coordination and execution of a broad variety of daily duties and public interaction. Trusted and timely attendance and completion of the job requirements with respect to procedures and safety is a hallmark of CPC's expectations.
Attainments are: Class 3 license with air brake endorsement, advanced defensive driving courses, hazardous goods training, HR courses on equality, diversity and safety in the workplace. 25 year safe driving award.
Sold wine in a dynamic environment with emphasis on quality products. A large contingent of corporate and discerning customers with expectations of beverage and service excellence. Conducted wine education courses for the public.
Began employment as waiter. After completing International Sommelier Guild in 1999, started work on the floor as a sommelier and assistant manager with closing duties. Assumed the the position of wine director and cellar master in 2001 while continuing to work as sommelier in the restaurant. Worked closely with floor staff and chefs including Danny Lamote, Michael Allemeier and Dominique Moussu on coordination of food and wine service.
Worked closely with management, ownership and staff to create a special and welcoming environment to customers seeking an unusual and quality dining experience.
