Oversees employees and directs operations of the Optical department and other areas of the warehouse.

• Reviews department budget and financial statements. Develops and implements plans for merchandising, productivity and profitability.
• Observes employee performance and upholds departments standards including safety and security procedures.
• Schedules, develops, counsels,trains and directs department personnel.
• Oversees and participates in duties of Licensed Optician and Contact lens Practitioner.

• Dispensing and fitting of eyeglasses and contact lenses
• Extra duties include submitting Monday reports: Breakdown of weekly sales for the current period as well as rx conversion from Optometrist practice.

• Running of day to day operations with 15+ employees
• Training and hiring of staff
• Various administrative including scheduling as well as inventory management

• Training and hiring for area stores
• Overseeing store managers and assisting with store operations where needed
• Helped with staff training in BC and AB with regards to new lens products as well as rollout of new POS system integrated company wide
