- Assisted lead teacher and assistants in daily tasks with their class of 12 children with special needs.
- Children I worked with had a wide range of needs. These included autism, mobility challenges, deafness, speech impairment, behavior challenges, learning disabilities and more.
- Supervised free play and also played with children throughout the day.
- Supporting artistic activities such as music or crafts, working one on one with individual children under teacher supervision and assisting in the classroom as needed.
- Prepared and presented a puppet show to the class with other volunteers.
Buddy System

- Calgary Waldorf Buddy System consists of pairing children of grades 3 & 7, 2 & 8 and 1 & 9 to have a one-on-one experience with younger kids in our community.
- Older student are helping younger student throughout grade 7-8-9 in a variety of activities such as: Crafts, reading, inside and outside games, kite flying, pumpkin carving, organizing scavenger hunts, skating, teaching them to knit, etc.
- The goal is to develop a strong relationship with your buddy each year and develop skills as a role model and a leader.

- Event consists of fasting for 30 hours during regular school days and activities to raise awareness and gain a deeper understanding of hunger.
- Raise money and awareness in our community with neighbours, friends and school community.
- Raised close to 10,000$ as a school during the last 3 years of doing this event.
