- Responsibilities of Electrical Safety Coordinator includes
- Maintain the written program, training programs and other training resources required for Electrical safety
- Ensure initial and refresher training for personnel at the authorized and awareness level as appropriate for their required electrical roles
- Appointed training, documentation, assessment and authorization are maintained for employees to retain their accreditation at the authorized and awareness level
- Support Cummins Inc policy and electrical work instruction awareness within the workforce, it is understood and adhered to and appropriate PPE and tools are readily available and being used by employees and approved suppliers
- Provide assistance and guidance to branches where the engagement of electrical contractors is needed
- Act as technical resource for electrical safety within Cummins Ghana
- Assist in PPE procurement and alignment to NFPA 70E and Policy/Work instruction Requirement
- Oversee approved LOTO programs and procedures are audited annually with LOTO audited whiles in progress, in line with the existing Cummins HSE Audits
- Assist HSE team in reviewing communications, investigations, correct actions for electrical related incident and issues, (near hits and product issues) as a resource expert
- Review existing reporting system to ensure it demonstrates the details of all maintenance, testing, inspections, modifications and the operation of the electrical systems and equipment within Cummins facility
- Assist branches to develop and maintain a documented inspection matrix for electrical tooling and PPE
- Evaluate existing applicable electrical systems and equipment for shock/arc flash risk assessment and subsequent labelling within Cummins facility should not exceed 5 years

- Conducting troubleshooting and inspections on Low and High KVA genset in the mine
- Develop, manage and reviewing power plant operations, preventive and predictive maintenance schedules
- Plan and manage the day-to-day activities of the power plant, (thus, daily plant operations through operations logbooks) to ensures maximum availability of the power plant
- Ensure that the Permit to Work, log out tag out and tried out system and health and safety is implemented correctly according to company procedure, and all involved on the job adhered to during task execution
- Plan and manage components failures, spare parts availability, and participating in the evaluation of spare parts needs for the power plant
- Promote a safe workplace in compliance with health and safety policies and practices, and collaborate to improve them, and coordinating and leading company health and safety meetings/activities and managing emergency situations that may occur
