My background as a waiter has given me a strong foundation for becoming an EMT because I've spent every day communicating with people under pressure, staying calm during rushes, and balancing multiple priorities while maintaining professionalism. Working in customer service has taught me how to listen carefully, recognize when someone needs help, and communicate clearly and respectfully with people from all backgrounds. It has also developed my teamwork, situational awareness, time management, and ability to remain composed when things don't go according to plan. Combined with my strong interest in EMS, dedication to studying, and willingness to learn, I believe these experiences have prepared me to provide compassionate, efficient, and patient-focused care as an EMT.
