I have been with Shell for 15 years as process operator in the expansion upgrader section of the plant. I have been working the LC Finer unit for the whole of those 15 years.

Duties include operate and monitor equipment, conduct routine inspections and maintenance, troubleshoot and resolve operational issues, ensure compliance with safety standards and protocols, respond to emergencies and handle safety procedures.

I have both field and control panel experience. I have also been involved in various IPF testing for new instrumentation. I have worked many shutdown and startups in the field and on the control panel.

I worked in the Secondary Upagrader section of Syncrude.

I worked the following units both in the field and on the control panel while there, including start ups and shutdowns of all.

Heavy Gas Oil Hydrotreater

Light Gas Oil Hydrotreater

Naphtha Hydrotreater

Diesel Hydrotreater

Tank Farm control room

I was also a panel trainer that would train other operators on the control panel.
