Dr. Rajveer Singh Atkar (MBBS, BSc, FRCA)

Vancouver,British Columbia

Summary

I am a British Anaesthetist currently undertaking a Fellowship in Advanced Clinical Anesthesia at Vancouver General Hospital. Working in two different countries has given me a unique insight into healthcare across the developed world.

After completing my medical schooling at Imperial College London, I undertook the specialist training pathway for Anaesthesia in the West Midlands.

I completed my Fellowship of the Royal College of Anaesthetists (UK) in 2022.

My particular areas of interest are Major Surgery. Obstetrics, and Perioperative medicine. I have been able to complete a number of quality improvement projects and make changes which help deliver the best patient care.

I am also an avid educator, having completed a postgraduate certificate in Medical Education and regularly teaching undergraduates and postgraduates in small teaching and simulation formats. This has led to my successful completion of the Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy.
