I am a neurologist who works extensively with Parkinson's disease patients. I have experience and training in palliative care, and I have seen first-hand the suffering involved in chronic disease, death, and grief.
I have also been involved in religious ministry for the past 25 years. My goal is to work as a chaplain after I retire from medicine. I can think of no greater honor than to lift up those who suffer by showing them respect and kindness, mirroring God's humble and non-judgmental love.
