Summary

An experienced health care leader with multiple years of progressive leadership who has made tremendous achievements to improve patient care.

In 2023 was the recipient of the Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Metal for the transformational change and development of the Demand Capacity Strategic Program and the daily operational unit of the Integrated Operations Center in Edmonton Zone. • Implement an electronic medical record during the waves of the pandemic,
  • Maintain service delivery within Edmonton Zone following the temporary closure of an urban acute care hospital during the pandemic,
  • Coordinate and collaborate with Alberta Heath, AHS, Northwest Territories to update previous service delivery contracts supporting patient access to service and reciprocal staffing support,
  • Develop and influence the optimization strategies for the electronic medical record through standardization of definitions and workflows at the provincial, zonal and program levels,
  • Participate in and lead Edmonton Zone Strategic planning
  • Implement automated inventory system; first in Cardiac Cath & Electrophysiology Laboratories; within AHS allowing realization of significant savings and cost per procedure information
  • Participated in and lead various components of the planning and opening of the Mazankowski Alberta Heart Institute,
  • Assist staff to view situations in a global perspective and beyond the perceived limitations of the current environment,
  • Strong proponent of the "Fish Philosophy" understanding how to: choose your attitude, be there, make their day and play.
