Volunteer Experience

  • Croatian National Home, 01/01/90, Present, Active member of the longest running Croatian Folklore Organization in North America (90 years). As a member of the Audit Team, played an integral role in initiating and facilitating change in the internal accounting processes of the organization in 2010. Chair of Fundraising Committee – in a 16 month period was able to raise over $150K to offset the cost of the children’s Senior Folklore Group travelling to Croatia to tour and perform.
  • Winona Peach Festival, 01/01/14, 12/31/22, Recording Secretary and Director of Winona Peach Festival Executive Board. Communicating and meeting with City of Hamilton various departments, external contractors, member organizations and OLG authorities. Responsible for set up, purchasing, planning, scheduling, training 100+ volunteers and overall running of one of the pavilions in the food court area. Won the 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 Award for Best Booth and Best Crew.
