Ph. D. Dissertation Title

The Biology, Life History, Ultrastructure and Taxonomic Affinities of the Haemoflagellate Trypanosoma fallisi (Zoomastigophorea: Kinetoplastida) in Bufo americanus from Algonquin Park, Ontario.

Ph.D. Research Description

Research included characterization of trypanosome developmental stages in vertebrate host, vector and in vitro by light and electron microscopy as well as host-specificity experiments. Three presumptive trypanosome species of frogs and toads were characterized and compared by allozyme electrophoresis and restriction analysis of kinetoplast DNA.
