As a Summer Intern with the Product Innovation team at Sanjel, I collaborated with industry leaders in well integrity, contributing to projects that addressed critical challenges in the oil and gas sector. My work focused on evaluating the impact of supercritical CO₂ on cement integrity for CO₂ storage, resolving surface casing vent flow issues, and developing innovative testing procedures for loss circulation in the absence of industry standards.
I specialized in evaluating and testing unproven supplier products for compatibility with cement formulations, presenting findings, and contributing to test planning, execution, and analysis. This role enhanced my expertise in data management, analyzing large datasets, and optimizing test plans to maximize data quality while efficiently utilizing the limited time available during my internship.
Balancing working with pursuing my undergraduate degree in Biochemistry further strengthened my time management and multitasking abilities. Working while studying taught me how to effectively prioritize tasks and maintain focus under demanding circumstances, skills that were integral to my success at the workplace and in my academic career.
Working in a lab ignited a passion for research and development, reinforcing my commitment to pursuing a career in innovative problem-solving and research.
