Summary

I have 25 years’ experience in providing architectural, Project Management and Construction Management services. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering & master’s degree in Building Engineering & Construction management. Throughout my career, I was involved in several large-scale projects conducted by international construction & Engineering firms. I was involved in variety of commercial, residential, and institutional projects, including complex healthcare projects and high-rise buildings. I have a distinctive understanding of healthcare projects multidisciplinary design process through all its stages (project briefing, master planning, schematic design, design development and construction documentation). I have excellent knowledge in construction methods and building codes and regulations including Ontario Building Code (OBC), Canada National Building code (NBC), International building code (IBC), American Institute of Architects guide lines for healthcare facilities (FGI), and American Disability Association (ADA).

  • Main involvement is Center Block Rehabilitation (CBR) Project; the largest, most complex heritage rehabilitation project ever undertaken in Canada is also the first major renovation to Canada’s main parliament building since 1916
  • This project was motivated by a great vision based on innovation, state of the art technology, outstanding architecture, and sustainability
  • The design will address all architectural & engineering aspect the building such as: rehabilitation, modernization, seismic solution, safety, accessibility, and the public / official’s requirements
  • In this position I provided overall Design Management services for delivering the entire project design and construction documentations
  • This includes managing the multidiscipline coordination process that included more than 25 specialty consultants in addition to the main engineering consultants

  • Prepares initial fee proposals and adheres to established scope of services
  • Negotiates additional services fees with Clients for additions to project scope and / or revised responsibilities

  • During initial construction phase I was a key player in coordinating between 39 specialized consultants and the multi-headed Client team
  • I’ve also assisted the GC in reviewing construction documentation, client comment, and preparing change orders claims
