Description   : It is a service of Landmark Information Group. Within the Legal Business  Unit in Landmark we create reports to aid in the processing of buying and selling houses.  Within the UK it is a legal requirement to clean up any pollution identified, so our reports check if the house or property being bought could be polluted, and therefore could require expensive remediation (clean up) costs associated to it. We also advise if the property is likely to flood and other elements such as the ground stability (is it likely to sink or move), radon (is it in an area with radon gas that has been linked to causing health issues), energy and infrastructure (is it right next to a railway line or big project) and similar issues.
