Dione ALLEN

Carleton Place,ON

Summary

I have 25 years of combined policing experience from 1998 to present (RCMP and Toronto Police Service) where I achieved the rank of Sergeant. My policing experience includes 9 years of general duty policing, 2 years federal policing, 11 years forensic identification, and 3 years national and divisional headquarters experience. As a result, I’m culturally aware and resilient from having worked in urban, rural and Indigenous communities, including countless deployments to isolated communities in Canada’s northern territories in response to major incidents.

Through my 11 years as a Forensic Crime Scene Investigator, I’ve become adept at using scientific equipment to preserve and examine evidence and proven to be observant, dependable and skillful in coping with complex situations.

In addition, I’m Tactical Support Group trained with deployment experience to fluid and complex events. I’ve acquired the skills to plan and execute search warrants.

Through my headquarters experience, I've implemented change by developing and communicating new policies and procedures.

My entire suite of policing experience have empowered me to provide training and mentoring to both new police officers and new forensic identification officers.
