Summary

Talented prototype fabrication technician with a passion for building. I have always loved robotics and mechanical assemblies. This has led me to develop strong mechanical skills through working on personal and professional projects. I choose to attack problems that arise during prototype development with creative solutions. I'm constantly looking to improve processes wherever they can be optimized. Personally, I am detail-oriented and want to see things done in the best possible way. I pride myself on the success I have had in taking projects from start to finish under my own initiative.

Work History

Lead CNC Machinist, Prototype Technician

Saildrone
10.2024 - Current

Lead precision manufacturing, advanced multi-material fabrication, and structural assembly of prototype hardware for autonomous surface marine vehicles.

  • Program, set up, and operate multi-axis CNC machinery, manual mills, and industrial-grade 3D printers to produce high-tolerance mechanical components.
  • Partner directly with R&D engineering teams to execute Design for Manufacturability (DFM) reviews, accelerating the rapid prototyping pipeline from concept to open-ocean deployment.
  • Manage end-to-end machine shop operations, including workflow scheduling, tooling inventory, and preventative equipment maintenance to guarantee maximum safety and efficiency.
  • In charge of purchasing machinery and equipment to elevate manufacturing capabilities

Prototype Model Maker

Lucid Motors
09.2023 - 09.2024
  • In charge of producing vehicle prototype parts for aerodynamic research models. Manufactured testing setups for interior vehicle components such as HVAC and Ergonomic testing. Led the team in determining best production practices for the manufacturing of first article and prototype components. Assembled crash test structures for internal testing. Maintained all machines in shop. Designed and manipulated models to be Manufactured or 3D printed within the shop's capabilities. Direct work with engineers and designers on blueprint and CAD models optimization. Utilized Jira to keep track of workflow and plan out future project deadlines. Thrived in a fast paced environment where everyday there were new challenges to tackle.

Prototype Engineering Technician / Aerodynamic test Model Maker

NASA Ames
03.2022 - 09.2023
  • Obtained a Government Security Clearance. Programmed and operated 3 and 5-axis Haas Mills along with live tooling lathes. Ran tests for a variety of experiments from micro-scale to large helicopter rotor components. Kept track of inventory and tools. There are parts I manufactured on the Lunar Rover (VIPER). Assembled test components for supersonic wind tunnel testing. Documented part failures. Programmed and operated AMADA laser cutter. Worked in Quality Control room using Polly Works software and Faro probe arm to ensure high precision part fit-up and tolerancing of space flight hardware. Mig and Tig welding on stainless steel and aluminum for fabricating fixtures and other test equipment. Produced parts for a variety of Cube Satellites. Clean room assembly and soldering.

CNC Machinist and Fabricator

Exatron
01.2020 - 03.2022
  • Calibrated machines that are used in semiconductor fabrication. Documented any test failures and made changes to avoid future mistakes. Assembled test rigs to identify functionality of custom boards and chip sets. Thrived in high-production shop environment. At home working with very small parts and tolerances
