  • Supervised maintenance team and effectively delegated assignments to optimize processes.
  • Developed new branding initiatives and implemented uniform fleet design to increase brand exposure.
  • Coordinated safety meetings to educate team members on best practices to mitigate hazard opportunities.

In my role I was accountable for the strategic fleet life-cycle management, Federal NCS Compliance and Safety Programs. Annual operational budget responsibility of $42 million & indirect management of 52 facilities across Western Canada


Projects:

Fleet Right Sizing initiative resulting in decreased operating cost of $18M, increased internal asset uptime of 35% resulting in additional $32M additional revenue opportunity


Vehicle Safety Program Development & Execution

Reduction in on-road equipment unpredicted failures by 41%


NSC (National Safety Code) Policy

Implementation of NSC program across AB, BC, SK, YK, NWT & US, and achieved companywide NSC compliance and subsequently passed Transportation Canada Audits in British Columbia and Yukon

  • Detailed fleet age & performance review including data analysis around vehicle age, depreciation, operational cost, planned vs unplanned spend, utilization including seasonal trending, physical vehicle health review, operator & crew feedback. Results lead to follow up analysis of vehicle/operator compatibility, contract & vendor quality analysis, operator impact analysis and recommendations including risk factor evaluation


  • Created compliance trending and infraction analysis based on 60 carrier profiles (5 years), created separate gap-analyses for internal & external policies compliance, driver, - training, - internal & external documentation, records & processes compliance.
