I am a research assistant and a graduate student in the department of cell biology at the University of Alberta. My journey began with a Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Science, which served as the foundation for my subsequent endeavors. I have previously worked as a Medical Laboratory Scientist at Swedru Municipal Hospital and I currently work in a cell biology lab at the University of Alberta. Through these experiences I have acquired enormous scientific, technical and ethical knowledge and skills in both the Medical Laboratory and Cell Biology fields. These include but not limited to proven history of maintaining equipment and lab areas in alignment with regulatory guidelines. I have also had experiences in various blood-screening tests, microscopic analysis, cell cultures and in protein expression and purifications. I have been a foundational tool in the proteostasis community and in the translation of research into clinical setting in the cell biology department. These roles equipped me with utilizing software tools like Protparam tool, Uniprot, Protein data bank, Protein structure visualization software among others. I am a strongly motivated and dedicated leader, who prioritizes safety in all aspects of my work. I can perform any task that demands my knowledge, skill, and ability when given the opportunity.
