• Work with youth between the ages of 9 and 14 with developmental needs and high risk
• Work with clients with Alcohol-Related Neuro-developmental Disorder (ARND), Organic Brain Disorders, and Developmental Delays in ways to help them cope with daily activities and goals
• Provide structured consistent rules, routines, and activities that feature visual cues, posters, charts, motivational systems, and repetitive hand-over-hand assistance and teaching
• Working with Kids demonstrating behaviors of aggression, runaway behavior, substance misuse, mental health issues, mental illness and sexual deviance
• Helping kids connect with their culture with activities such as weekly sweat and pipe ceremonies, crafts, Building and Utilizing Teepees, to help build a strong connection with kids and clients.

Security Patrols: Conduct regular patrols of the healthcare facility, including interior areas such as patient rooms, corridors, and common areas, as well as exterior grounds and parking lots.

Crime Prevention: Actively monitor for and deter criminal activity within the healthcare facility, including theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access. This may involve the use of surveillance equipment, access control measures, and collaboration with law enforcement agencies.

Investigations: Conduct investigations into security incidents, breaches of policy, or criminal activities that occur on Covenant Health property. This may involve gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses, and preparing reports for internal use or law enforcement agencies.

Crowd Control: Manage crowds and maintain order during periods of high activity or special events within the healthcare facility, such as visiting hours, public gatherings, or demonstrations.

Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments within Covenant Health, as well as external agencies such as local law enforcement, emergency services, and regulatory bodies, to address security concerns and promote a safe and secure environment for all stakeholders.

Campus Security: Maintaining a safe and secure environment on the MacEwan University campus by patrolling designated areas, responding to incidents, and enforcing campus rules and regulations.

Emergency Response: Assisting in emergency situations such as medical emergencies, fires, or criminal incidents. This may involve coordinating with other emergency responders such as police, fire department, or paramedics.

Investigations: Conducting investigations into incidents that occur on campus, such as thefts, assaults, or property damage. This may involve interviewing witnesses, gathering evidence, and preparing reports for university authorities or law enforcement agencies.

Traffic Control: Enforcing parking regulations and directing traffic on campus to ensure the safe and efficient flow of vehicles.

Crowd Control: Managing large gatherings or events on campus to ensure public safety and order.

Community Engagement: Building positive relationships with students, faculty, staff, and visitors to the university through outreach programs, educational initiatives, and public relations efforts.
