Please accept my application to continue to act as the Base Fire Chief at CFB Suffield G3 Fire Services. Throughout my career as a Firefighter, I have been a reliable and consistent performer, focused on personal development and on improving the areas I work in. I have been a dedicated emergency responder and leader, offering a variety of specialized hands-on experience and team building skills. I have 12 years of volunteer firefighting experience combined with nearly 16 years career firefighting experience. I have taken every opportunity to grow, learn and accept new challenges including taking on new roles such as being the first Training Officer at CFB Suffield, acting as the Deputy Fire Chief and currently acting as the Base Fire Chief. I have received numerous Letters of Recognition, a Base Commanders Coin and two Base Commanders Commendation's. I have acted as the Base Fire Chief for the last 20 months. I have worked diligently to address pay related issues, manage HR and Labour Relations concerns, and action multiple staffing files. I have gained a vast array of experience while progressively working my way up in this organization. I am submitting this application for the 1 year acting assignment and future consideration for the indeterminate filling of this position.
