Timely execution of required tasks including, but not limited to assembly allocation of materials, inspection, testing and shipping. Box, pack and ship finished product and all raw materials, as appropriate.
- Manufacturing information, electrical and mechanical drawings, sketches, written or oral instruction from supervisor or engineering and to established procedures.
- Use various fixtures, gauges and assembly tools to assemble, adjust or repair assemblies. Use of layout, drill, saw, punch, rivet and paint material as required.
- Apply identification labeling on completed assemblies as required.
- Form shipping groups of final products shipped to external customers and prepare assemblies for shipment or storage, as appropriate.
- Assemble and mount equipment for assembly and customer service orders.
- Pack, crate, and band items together for shipment. Include proper identification on packing material.
Responsible for Setup and perform pressure, leak flow and electrical functioning bench testing on a wide variety of standard products. Provides guidance to all elements of manufacturing to assure that labor hours are assigned and used in the most efficient manner and support of established test.
- Set-up and conduct pressure, leak flow and electrical bench testing on a wide variety of parts, subassemblies and completed units
- Work from engineering specifications, schematics, and test diagrams
- Make all plumbing and electrical connections required completing system setup
- Connect products to be tested to test equipment
- Monitor gauges and meters
- Verify and record test results
- Determine reasons for malfunctioning components or improperly assembled units
- Confer with or refer major or critical problems or decisions to lead person and/or Supervisor
- Complete and maintain proper reports and checklists
- Comply with all safety requirements, including proper use of personal protective equipment and operation of equipment in a safe and competent manner. Understand and meet all departmental safety objectives and goals. Keep assigned work-area clean, organized, and orderly per 5S standards.
