Field Placements and Projects

  • Field Placements: St. Margarat Mary Catholic Elementary School,
    Hamilton (2021). One month direct internship with differently abled children under the guidance of Educational Assistants and other professionals, covering ABA tools and resources of children with autism in the regular schools..
  • Block Field work: National Institute of speech and hearing (NISH), INDIA
    (2020). A learning experience to understand different speech and hearing impairments, assisting in team meetings, shadowing sessions of professionals including social workers, speech therapist, hearing specialists and doctors.
  • Live-in Experience: Max Minds Rehabilitation Center, INDIA (2019). Internship at a psycho social rehabilitation center of people with psychiatric disabilities, completing caseworks and group works under the guidance of the professionals.
  • Block Field Placement: Jayamatha Boys Home, India (2019). Conducted life skills program for children in conflict with law under the supervision of officials and social workers.
  • Concurrent Fieldwork: Integrated Child Development Services Kerala, INDIA
    (2018 - 2019). A direct six-months intervention with a local community of fishermen in Trivandrum city, Kerala, addressing concerns regarding primary healthcare, preschool education, maternity services, health check-up and referral services, especially including women and children with the help of government officials and Loyola College of Social Sciences.
  • Mini Research- Revisiting Youth and Suicide (2021)
    Dissertation of final year Mater's program by working with individuals and families, addressing their crisis interventions using the qualitative research tools. Also published an article in Journal of Social Work, Kerala.
  • Published Journal Article- Experiences of Social Health Activist: A study of Coastal village during COVID-19 (2021). A qualitative research based on the experiences of health activist during the COVID-19 and the findings and outcomes were published in the article. Casework, group work and community organization were the main activities done to gather the information.
