Project 1: California State Teachers Retirement System, CA

Description:
The California State Teachers' Retirement System (CalSTRS) provides retirement, disability and survivor benefits for California's 965,000 prekindergarten through community college educators and their families.[1] CalSTRS was established by law in 1913 and is part of the State of California's Government Operations Agency. As of September 2020, CalSTRS is the largest teachers' retirement fund in the United States. CalSTRS is also currently the eleventh largest public pension fund in the world.[2] As of October 31, 2020, CalSTRS managed a portfolio worth $254.7 billion.

Roles:

• Worked with CalSTRS(California State Teachers Retirement System) Client
• Worked as Onsite Resource for agile (Scrum) integration team and managed a team of 5-6 members
• Worked extensively with the business user and business analysts during the requirement sessions and participated in HLD walkthroughs and brainstorming sessions between SME, Designer and development teams
• Analyzed functional requirements/user stories and translated requirements into written test plans, detailed test cases and test schedules by following Agile/Scrum process
• Conducted requirements walkthrough within the Testing team
• Created test cases to validate the Source and Target database systems data and mapping rules for data transformation
• Wrote SQL queries for data analysis
• Assisted in verification of user stories, suggested requirement changes which got accepted by POP/story authors
• Helped in writing user stories to fill the gap in requirements
• Involved in Regression, Functional, Integration, Smoke, Ad Hoc, End to End System Testing and UAT as a part of sprint cycles
• Analyzed and generated daily intelligence and business reports
• Integrated all the modules and presented a final prototype of the product using S3 tool

• Execution of system test cases and UAT test cases.
• Examining the flaws, defects, raising them in the tool.
• Checking and tracking of the logged PIRs against the test

cases, and re-testing them to the closure.
• Perform regression testing on the fixed bugs.
• Communicating with the developers, leads, and onsite based

BA’s via Microsoft Teams calls on twice-weekly

• Mentored Junior QA engineers, fostering a culture of

continuous learning and professional growth.

Project 3: Utah Retirement System, UTAH

Description:

Utah Retirement Systems administers pension plans and retirement savings plans for public employees in the U.S. state of Utah.
There are eight separate defined-benefit pension plans administered by URS, as well as various retirement savings plans. As of December 31, 2014, the URS was managing over $31 billion in its pension trust funds, for nearly 200,000 members. Besides the pension trust funds, the URS manages a 401(k), 457(b), a traditional IRA and Roth IRA with around $4.5 billion in assets combined at the end of 2014.[2]

Roles:

• Execution of System test cases and E2E test cases
• Examining the flaws, defects, raising them in the tool
• Checking and tracking of the logged PIRs against the test cases, and re-testing them to the closure
• Perform regression testing on the fixed bugs.
• Supported quality team members during corrective action updates.
