Summary

I started working when I was quite young. I started out like any other kid doing jobs around the house to earn money and just helping out. When I was young, I realized that if i was ever to achieve my goals i needed to put my foot down and get to work. I've always loved being out side so i didn't mind getting dirty and doing heavy labor. That's why i became a tree planter. Later in life I became interested in cars, more specifically working on cars. Gary Verbeek got me into cars in the mechanics program where i learned to be a hardworking Mechanic skilled in resolving mechanical issues and being Organized and dependable candidate successful at managing multiple priorities with a positive attitude. Willingness to take on added responsibilities to meet team goals.

Tree Planter/Plant Nursery Worker

  • Camson creek cedars is a cedar company that produces quality cedars and hedges for houses all around bc
  • I do many things for this company I have been working here for a few years now and I have become sort of a jack of all trades
  • Potting: all the plants start at the potting machine in the shop
  • Here dirt and fertilizer is added to pots in which a hole is drilled to insert a sapling
  • Transportation: all of the plants need to sit and grow on a gravel platform so I have to move them there
  • Fertilizing: fertilizing is both done to the trees on the gravel platform and in the field
  • Both use a plunger system Planting: planting is done with a tractor creating a trench where the plant is placed and then it is filled back in
  • Enhanced overall vegetation growth through consistent monitoring, maintenance, and pruning of planted trees.

Hardworking: I will do very physically demeaning tasks if needed to. Efficient: I try to get work done fast so that I can finish earlier and start new projects. Good at working with others: in my wood working class I usually spend my time helping other people when I am waiting for work. According to most of my friends and family, I am the handy man/ the guy you call when there’s something potentially dangerous to do.

Future Goals

In the future, I would like to start my own mechanics business teaching people to work without having to pay for schooling. I would also love to become a WRC rally driver.
