My duties consist of conducting investigations on recycling centers to determine whether there is evidence of fraudulent activities . My duties also consist of conducting inspections, interview witnesses and suspects, review records for falsification of records, issue notice of violations, prepare referrals for Dept. of Justice, assist Dept. of Justice in search warrants, work with other local state and local law enforcement agencies on cases pertaining to recycling fraud, give training to local and state law enforcement agencies on overview on recycling fraud, prepare comprehensive investigation reports and reports of observations/documentations, update information in our web based integrated information system, follow up on tips from confidential informants, served subpoenas and other legal documents to recycling center participants, secure and log in evidence obtained from the field, testify in formal/informal administrative hearings, train, lead, and review work from newly hired staff on conducting investigations against fraudulent participants, verified and detected multiple violations of the rules, laws and regulations, and prepared accusations, demand letters, and corrective action plans against guilty participants who have violated the laws, regulations and Acts of the Beverage Container Recycling Program.

Review and investigate new and continued claims, make proper and prompt determinations of eligibility in accordance with law, regulations, and/or established policies. Exercise appropriate duration control to ensure program integrity, and respond to inquiries from claimants and the public in a telephone environment. Examine and analyze disability claims in order to determine claim eligibility and status.
