Furthermore I am responsible for acquiring signage from every customer as well as communicating with the store in regards to any customer needs or concerns regarding the product in the event that we receive any damaged product.
Similarly to my current position at The Brick as a Class 5 delivery driver at I was in charge of ensuring my teams success and safe transportation in loading and delivering a 5-ton truck full of product (appliances and furniture) to multiple different local locations in between Duncan and Courtenay (Typically between 12-22 stops). This responsibility includes being the primary point of contact between the store and the customers as well as ensuring a full setup (using any tools necessary to assemble said items) and placement of the product in the house is complete to the customers content. While working at Black & White Event Rentals I was responsible for leading crews out to event locations by transporting product in 5-ton Trucks designated locations anywhere on the island from Victoria to Port Hardy and even occasionally to other surrounding islands or even the mainland. Upon arrival at the site of the event I would coordinate with the customers to work out how they wanted their event setup (or taken down) and communicate with my crew how we are to complete the delivery. The setup included building and securing large tents (between 20’x20’ up to 50’x150’) made of steel or aluminum pipe as well as setting up any dance floors, stages, tables, chairs among other accessories needed for the event (usually weddings). Additionally my responsibility included the loading and unloading of 5-ton trucks with the help of my crew and ensuring our trucks are preloaded and setup to head out the next morning.
As Kitchen Manager at Lone Star Texas Grill I was responsible for ensuring the proper operation of the entire Kitchen. This included responsibilities such as creating the back of house schedule, placing GFS food and dry goods orders, hiring, training and ensuring the organization of all facets of the kitchen. I was also in charge of assuring all health and safety requirements were upheld in the kitchen and was also a member of our JHSC. Additionally I was to step in to any roll on the line, Expo or support positions in the kitchen if needed to ensure success.
