• Planning and conducting investigations related to the tax and benefits programs administered by the Ministry of Finance under applicable legislation (Employer Health Tax Act, Retail Sales Tax Act, Land Transfer Tax Act) including search and seizure actions, evidence collection, investigative analysis, static and mobile surveillance, and interviewing.
• Research and analyzing subject business policies and practices, and accounting systems, review ministry records and files, as well as information from other tax jurisdictions, or other sources (i.e. banks, customers, third parties) to obtain proof of non-compliance or willful evasion related to the tax and benefits programs administered by the Ministry of Finance.
• Conducting interviews with informants, witnesses, suspected violators as well as their legal and financial representatives – keeping detailed notes and archiving evidence.
• Research and analyze tax regulations as well as case law, summaries, and decisions from the courts.
• Assess and interpret findings, consolidate data, and prepare reports and crown briefs for prosecution including reports to justice, search warrants, and production orders.
• Participating in joint operations with other stakeholders including Canada Revenue Agency and police forces from across the province.
• Assisting legal counsel by preparing documents and presentations to assist in prosecutions before the courts.

• Regulatory Compliance Ontario – Instructor, Notetaking workshop/Testimony.
• Branch Advisory Committee, MOF Compliance Branch – Board member.

• Responded to emergency calls and complaints, execute warrants, arrest suspects, and lay charges as appropriate.
• Prepared notes, crown briefs, and present testimony in court as an expert witness and certified Breath Technician.
• Drafted and executed warrants for medical records and personal property.
• Aided victims of crime and accidents.
• Participated in crime prevention, community, and charitable initiatives within the Greater Toronto Area.
• Working within the court office to review crown briefs, schedule court dates, and the laying and swearing of court documents before the Justice of the Peace.
• Attending judicial pre-trials for Criminal court and examination for discovery involving civil matters.
• Participated in interdiction initiatives in Highway Safety Division targeting criminal activity on 400 Series Highways.
• Certified Coach Officer responsible for the training, mentoring, and development of new police officers.
• Operated the OPP collision reporting center in Toronto, completing accident investigations and working collaboratively with insurance companies to uncover fraud.
