- Coordinates fully with the area manager regarding the vessel status
- Prior to vessel arrival coordinates to identify which shore tank should be used for receiving and/or discharge of the cargo intended
- Once on board the vessel, meet with the Master/Chief Officer/Chief Engineer
- Discuss the pre-loading/discharging plan
- Perform an initial survey, if loading, make sure that the nominated cargo tanks are well-washed and clean and are fit to load the intended cargo.
