Fine Arts Theatre is a historic movie theatre in Beverly Hills. They host movie premieres, shows, and events. They have a couple of connected theaters as well across Los Angeles. The company is run by a couple of people, like the boss and manager. My responsibilities consisted of making popcorn using the popcorn machine, sweeping and mopping the floor, vacuuming carpets, cleaning windows, selling concessions, conversing and community with both famous and regular customers, and setting up religious events at the theatre. This job was my first introduction to the work field and was insightful.
Beverly Hills Tennis Center is a tennis complex located in Beverly Hills. They host USTA tennis matches, tennis lessons for all ages, pickleball classes, and have a pro shop. This is its own organization, but it has relations to other facilities too. I was a tennis coach for kids ages 6-14. I took care of the kids and taught them how to play tennis. I guided them through the fundamentals of tennis and played fun games with them as well. I was their guardian during my hours and kept them safe, engaged, and happy. I worked in the pro shop as a tennis racket stringer. I learned during my tenure.
Camp Wildfolk is a modern, project-based camp in Los Angeles that offers hands-on activities for children. There are 2 locations, both in Los Angeles. There are about 500 students in total per camp. This varies based on time of year. I was responsible for taking care of children from the ages of 4-12. I was their guardian during my hours, played games with them, administered food, and taught class to them. I made sure they were engaged and happy during their time at camp. I helped kids overcome barriers of being away from their parents and making new friends.
