I have worked in the mechanical field for 27 years, the last 14 of which I have been employed by the City of Edmonton. I have had the privilege of working on many different types of mechanical systems throughout my career and I consider myself a subject matter expert. I also have an in-depth history as a plumbing and heating foreperson in the construction industry prior to my tenure at the City, which encompassed everything from the day to day decisions, to long-term planning and project deadlines, to organization of staff and material alike on large scale projects. Assuring the work was being completed to the highest possible standards also fell under my umbrella of responsibility.
I am currently in the role of Mechanical Foreperson for the Global Zone (Portfolio: Edmonton Police Service, Edmonton Fire Rescue Services, and Edmonton Transit System - LRT Facilities) and I have occupied this position since May 2020. I am tech savvy and can quickly adapt to the ever changing world of computers and associated spreadsheets and programs. I am fluent with SAP (City of Edmonton current maintenance planning program) and I also have a good understanding of the business end of this type of work. I am highly motivated, organized, and dependable.
While employed at Master Mechanical I planned, initiated, and managed the workload on several major projects. I found solutions to different issues throughout the projects and I was responsible for managing all material requirements for the projects I was overseeing. I ran numerous sizes of crews during my tenure at Master Mechanical at one point overseeing a crew of over 20 staff. I demonstrated self-reliance by meeting and exceeding workflow needs. I worked closely with team members and other contractors on site to deliver project requirements, develop solutions, and meet deadlines.
