Darragh Kelly

Having graduated from Limerick Institute of Technology with a bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering it is evident that I'm a hard working person and dedicated to finishing out projects. I have the ability to work and excel in different roles across different sectors. I have the ability to quickly adapted to any role I'm assigned too. I'am highly competitive person when it comes to a work environment always looking to improve.

• Presented group FYP at the Limerick Institute of Technology Engineering Showcase. In which we won 1st prize in our year
• Leader for Fai Summer caps in June 2016. Gained experience in having to organise schedule for the next day. Gained knowledge of leading a group

• (2nd year) Steam Engine, Design and build a single piston, single acting steam engine. Design using Solidworks, machined manually with lathes, mills and CNC programmed to machine difficult parts.
• (3rd year FYP) Swarf Compactor, Design and create a model of a swarf compactor machine. Individual project then included researching Iso and other international safety standards and develop safety measures for machine.
• (4th year Dissertation), Simulation and Analysis of Air Flow about the exterior of large structures using Solidworks CFD software. The aim of this was to study large structures and open spaces in order to measure the affect of win deflections units in reducing airflow over or into a open space using CFD analysis.
