Establish, maintain, reinforce, effectively implement, audit, and continually improve the Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with ISO 9001 Standards.
Develop, review, revise, update, and implement the QMS documents, i.e., quality manuals, programs, plans, procedures, work instructions, forms, checklists, and logs.
Perform gap analysis to identify and rectify possible deficiencies in the QMS.
In collaboration with the management, define the quality objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs). Monitor and follow up the goals and indicators, and report KPIs status.
Work closely and efficiently with the project managers, departments, and functions on quality requirements and performance improvement to ensure that the QMS is adequately being implemented and adhering to continual improvement.
Plan and facilitate annual Management Reviews, follow up on Management Reviews conclusions, decisions, and outputs.
Contribute to the Risk Management and Change Management processes in collaboration with other divisions/departments/functions managers and leads.
Support the Supply Chain Department in procurement processes, provide inputs regarding quality requirements for evaluation and selection of External Providers (suppliers, vendors, contractors), and update the Vendor Data List.
Review and provide inputs to the bid documents and proposals to ensure completeness and conformance with the regulatory codes, standards, specifications, and quality requirements.
Plan, schedule, conduct, and report internal audits to ensure that QMS complies with ISO 9001 standards and is maintained; regulatory and statutory, client, corporate, and project requirements are met, and continual improvement is in the process.
Deal with and act on audit findings and identify non-conformities. Perform root cause analysis, take required corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) until coming up with the final and timely resolutions, NCR(S) closure, and opportunities for improvement.
Initiate and perform “Client Satisfaction Survey,” facilitate sessions with the client(s) and management to discuss survey results, client complaints, concerns, and expectations; prepare and follow up on the resulting action list to enhance and exceed client expectations.
Conduct external audits to evaluate External Providers’ (suppliers, vendors, contractors) quality management system, quality control system, key processes and procedures, and performance.
Ensure that employees are aware of and understand their roles, responsibilities, and duties as assigned and planned.
Investigate and assess awareness and training needs of the employees and new hires regarding QMS, based on which, develop training programs and provide training sessions.
Engage the employees to contribute to the effectiveness of the quality management system.
Establish a reliable documentation system for the maintenance, tracking, retrieval, and retention of hard and soft copies of documented information, including manuals, plans, procedures, work instructions, reports, forms, checklists, and logs.
Issue regular Quality Reports, including QMS implementation, audits, NCRs, KPI status, and recommendations for solutions and improvement.
Projects (Project Quality Manager, Site QA/QC Manager)
Manage and oversee project quality requirements to ensure compliance with the contract, codes, standards, regulations, and specifications.
Assist Project and Construction Management in developing the Project Execution Plan (PEP) for all phases of the project, providing the “Quality Section” of the PEP for the Scope of Work.
Develop Project Quality Plans (PQP) and Project Construction Quality Plans.
Develop risk-based quality assurance plans to ensure contractual and project specifications requirements will be met.
Prepare the construction QC Plan and Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) in conformance with the project Scope of Work, specifications, and contractual quality requirements.
Work closely and communicate with the Construction Manager regarding construction operations, documents, and records, as well as any changes that can affect the PEP, PQP, QA/QC scope of work, activities, and ITP(s).
Review, comment/accept the Quality Plans and Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) submitted by the suppliers or contractors to verify their completeness and conformance with the applicable codes, standards, specifications, and quality requirements. Obtaining the client’s approval, if required.
Attend per-fabrication and pre-inspection Kick-off Meetings at manufacturers to ensure the quality requirements are communicated and understood by all parties.
Witness tests at manufacturers where required by the ITPs.
Execute Field Audits. Deal with and act on identified nonconformities and root causes until coming up with the final, timely, and satisfactory closure.
Working as a construction turnover and close-out team member to review work packages and ensure completion of project documents and handover packages.
Enhance behavioral-based safety thinking and approach within the quality team to identify, assess, and eliminate safety hazards related to the QA/QC activities.
Chair weekly project quality meetings and prepare and act on the minutes of meetings and action lists.
