Lead and manage a production shift within the Sawmill. Coach a team of employees to achieve their full potential and acknowledge safe work practices by doing daily safety observations. Motivate and inspire by setting a direction and developing a specific goal. Always emphasize safety and treat each employee as an equal. Take initiative by identifying priorities to plan and affectively allocate resources. Responsible for recording individual machine center uptime/downtime numbers, employee hours worked, and any necessary discipline actions. Required to train each employee to meet worksafe standards through training, representation of job requirements and proper JSA's.

Relief supervisor in foreman's stead. Duties include assisting maintenance during any production downtime, assuring safety of fellow employees and communicating with operators throughout the mill to help with steady flow of production. Required to do daily crane and dust audits within the mill and monthly plant inspections. Record and relay any mechanical or operational downtime to the immediate supervisor.

Job functions include repairing faulty equipment. Cut/fit and weld metal components including plate and other structural pieces. Reviewed work orders and communicated with the immediate shift supervisor to asses maintenance needs for the day. Renovated and rebuilt Atco trailers. Performed a variety of tasks such as building and framing walls, adding exterior siding, rebuilt skirting and complete interior removal and renovation. Experience using multiple hand tools which include-Skil saw,reciprocating saw,chop saw,table saw,hand drill, air nailer,air stapler etc. Worked overtime including evenings and weekends; traveled with co-workers to out of town locations for scheduled work projects including mine locations.

Executed proper lock out procedures to fix any relevant problems to avoid any unnecessary downtime. Notified supervisors of faulty operations and defective materials.

Cleaned around various pieces of equipment inside and outside of the sawmill. Performed tasks such as blowing down the machines, greasing and oiling the equipment to maintain proper function.
