Danya Auda

Academic tutoring that aids current students in popular courses (mainly in the STEM area). These tutoring sessions were done by a current student who had gotten an A or a B in the course they are tutoring. I specifically tutored General Biology and Calculus I.

I was awarded the Student of Distinction award in Psychology for the 2024-2025 school year. This award recognizes my achievements in the subject, as well as my expertise and effort within the subject at hand.

Me and a peer were one of the few selected to present our Ethnic Studies research project at the 25th Annual Building Bridges Research Conference on April 5th, 2025. During this conference, us and other honors community college students presented our individual research and engage with others' works. Research-based presentations, posters, and creative performances reflecting inquiry into the humanities, sciences, arts, social sciences, and pre-professional programs are presented at this conference.

I completed an honors contract (completing additional coursework/ research to count for honors completion in a non-honors class) research project with a peer for the class Introduction to Ethnic Studies. My part was focused on collecting research related to disparities and injustices women of color have faced in the medical field and specifically gynecology throughout the history of the United States and provided an index of definitions related to reproductive health related questions. The project is in "zine" format and is being distributed school wide and is available online.

Helped edit a master's Thesis for Environmental Health where I looked and fixed grammatical errors as well as the overall flow of the content.
