  • As a scaler, I am responsible for organizing each sample loads that the hauling contractor is bringing into the company.
  • Tag them specifically into what date it gets in, from what group it came from, to what type of species it is, etc.
  • After those logs had been cut to merchantable length, I will carefully measure the diameter of both ends of each cut to length logs that belongs to a specific load, make deductions individually if necessary for defects, and finally encode all the pieces of information gathered to the system provided by the government that will determine how much duties and taxes that the company is accountable from the government.

  • As a yard equipment operator, my duties are unloading logging trucks in hauling season using different log loaders if necessary.
