Dante Alverson

I have recently graduated from Redlands East Valley High School. Now I am looking for a job to help pay for my college at CSUSB. Here, I am pursuing my dream of becoming a teacher because I want to be someone who can make a positive impact on people’s lives. This job will further my experience in interacting with people and forming deep connections with those I meet.

What made me make that decision? It is because my parents are also teachers, and that is what inspired me to take that career path as well. Now I am looking for a part-time or full-time job to keep myself busy during the summer. I may never have had a real paid job, but I have experience serving and greeting people professionally.

My experience throughout Boy Scouts has helped me professionally because throughout the journey, you have to be the one to plan everything, not anybody else, so I had to stay engaged in order to get what I needed done.

The place that I volunteered at is the senior housing complex called Plymouth Village, where every Christmas time I would sign up to sing Christmas carols. I was also able to get experience in serving food during this time.
