My duties as a head caretaker / custodian would include ensuring a clean, safe and comfortable environment for the staff and students to work, learn and play in. daily visual inspections of the buildings interior namely crawlspaces, boiler room and mechanical areas to look for any concerns or repairs that might be needed. Visual inspections of the exterior of the building and playground areas and check for vandalism and or safety hazards. shovel snow, cut grass etc. daily safety tests on steam boilers as well as water chemical analysis tests for the heating system.

- I was employed at the Winnipeg school division for 31 years and during that time i was a head caretaker / custodian for 21 years I then moved into the service building and was a carpenters helper for approximately 1 year followed by 9 years in the equipment repair shop, where I was responsible for but not limited to maintaining and repairing all of the divisions small engine equipment As well I would when required assist in repairing custodial cleaning equipment, such as automatic floor scrubbers, swing scrubbers, vacuums etc During my time with the Winnipeg school division I have received training in or on a, scissor lilt, articulating zoom boom lift, fire extinguisher use, ladder safety, fall restriction, whims, crawlspace awareness, asbestos identification and, accident prevention I have also attended many personal development seminars such as aids awareness, sexual harassment, transgender sensitivity, suicide prevention, mental health well being, and custodial leadership training I have a certificate in
