Danny Astefan

Since 2017, I have had the opportunity to work alongside startups, sports teams, and household names in many different industries. Some of which include Fashion, Sports, and commercial, such as Kappa Sport, Telus, Vancouver FC and many more.

Since then, I have had the ability to continue to sharpen my skills in compelling storytelling and capturing photo and video work that adheres to the personal brand of each client, but also pushes boundaries and stretches the creative vision behind each project.

With many clients, I have experienced lots of different types of roles such as cinematographer, creative direction and branding, photographer, and creative consulting.

From June 2021 until May 2022, I assisted the Creative Agency in all areas of video and photo work. Accomplishing startup campaigns, major brand reveals, and adhering to the visual aesthetic of each brand or company that our work was for. I had the opportunity to plan day-to-day content creation for a variety of brands and companies in the food industry, health and wellness industry, and many more, as displayed in my personal portfolio. Over the course of my time here, I have successfully executed and produced beautiful product imagery, brand merch campaigns, and event coverage for restaurants and bars.

In my role, I successfully led a team of 20 young adults in preparing for and executing weekly youth gatherings, demonstrating a commitment to mentoring and counselling high school students in their personal development.

I excelled in managing events with attendance ranging from 80 to 120 students and facilitated multiple meetings with staff and volunteer leadership teams. My efforts in building strong, trustworthy relationships with families and parents were complemented by leading humanitarian projects, including organizing and guiding high school students in service work at a camp for at-risk children in the Yukon.

Additionally, I coordinated fundraisers to support student participation in camps, directed a week-long youth camp encompassing chapel gatherings, camp-wide games, and support for cabin leader volunteers, and consistently demonstrated strong public speaking skills on a weekly basis.
