I graduated in 2016 with my Master of Education and an additional designation in Inclusive Education from the University of Prince Edward Island, and I have been working for the Public Schools Branch full-time since 2018. During this time, I have successfully fulfilled various roles in the school system, such as classroom teaching, academic case management/intervention, in addition to running a Learning Center and program planning for upwards of 11 students on IEPs. These roles have required effective communication skills with outside agencies, feeder/transition schools, as well as parents and staff, and have allowed me to become more confident in my ability to proficiently provide support to both students and teachers. I am passionate about creating an inclusive environment where students and staff feel supported and empowered.
