  • I also gained experience in preparation, compilation, and review engagements for our S-Corporation and C-Corporation clients. My work included preparation of the balance sheet, income statement, cash flows statement, and notes to the financial statements. This included training that implemented the new SSARS regulations for preparation, compilation and review in 2015
  • I received vigorous training and experience with QuickBooks and Sage 50 (Peachtree) accounting programs as well as our main operating system in which we used Thomson Reuters software. The Thomspon Reuters software I used includes Trial Balance CS, UltraTax, Accounting CS, and Fixed Assets CS
  • Other periodical duties included financial analysis, budgeting, and quarterly payroll tax filings
  • I interacted on a daily basis with our clients and carried myself with a professional attitude through each engagement I perform
  • Implemented the new Massachusetts Sick Time law into our payroll service for the applicable clients. We had difficulty implementing this because of our software restrictions, but I was able to properly create and track this along with other accruable benefits for our clients
  • Completed 80 hours of personal tax, corporate tax, financial statement, and SSARS compliant training in my first year of work at this firm. Much of my work with financials follows GAAP as well as a few clients where we follow the Special Purpose Framework (OCBOA) basis of reporting

Accomplishments

Graduated with two degrees from an accredited United States educational institution while on an athletic and academic scholarship, obtained and completed OPT Work Visa extension through my existing student visa. Gained thorough knowledge of the broad spectrum of the business industry through my years as an intern and entry level accountant with various companies, firms, and corporations in the United States and Canada.
