Paint Department Supervisor- Zone Commander

  • Researched issues to obtain appropriate answers to customer inquiries.
  • Volunteered for extra shifts during holidays and other busy periods to alleviate staffing shortages.
  • Maintained focus during busy periods and delegated tasks on multiple jobs to painters to keep the projects running smoothly.
  • Ordering of paint products and all other supplies required for the various projects. Often projects running consecutively. Both commerical jobs, and Naval projects.
  • Ran all projects supervising four Senior Chargehands, off of which I have mentored over the years.
  • Ran indentured apprenticeship program in terms of training and development. I am responsible for the development of over 20 apprentices over the last 25 years including Elise Fulton, Bobby Gill, (now a senior chargehand) now a project manager with Victoria Shipyards.
