Bishops Towing and Salvage
- I worked in the salvage yard where cars that would be towed in would get crushed, or put in the back where the "pick your part" is.
- In my time of being there we would sort stuff out such as garbage, cars, tools, tires, parts.
- My job there was to watch out for sharp objects so the operator in the loader didn't run over anything to pop the tires on the machine.
- There was some times where sometimes I would have to get the tow trucks ready for the driver to go pick them up and when the trucks get back we would have to unload the cars and clean off the deck depending on the condition the deck is in.
- From time to time we would have to do frequent oil changes, and sometimes replace the hydraulic oil on the trucks so that everything runs good and that they are maintained so nothing breaks.
- Bishop towing, has a race team and we would have to fix the cars and get them ready for the races.
- We replaced a couple engines and made sure they were maintained before the race, doing oil changes and replacing coolant with water, making sure the tires were specific.
