  • Specialize in Propeller Rework
  • ● Primarily worked on De Havilland Dash 8 (100, 200 & 300) series prop. Can also work on the Q400 propellers. Dash-8's is composed of fiberglass, while Q400 requires polyurethane patch repairs.
  • ● Used measuring tools such as; Micrometer, Optical Micrometer, Caliper, Bore Gauge, Ohm Meter, Megger.
  • ● Used Media Blast to remove paint from the shank, awell as Grit Blasting if corrosion is found.
  • ● Used Tap Test to find Delamination, then repair with chopped fibers, preformed Surface repairs, as well as adding fiberglass layers to the prop for better nickel fitting.
  • ● Requires me to sand the prop to either expose fiberglass, smooth any defects or repairs, shaping the blade, and creating a smooth surface finish.
  • ● Mixed different resins for the different types of repairs.
  • ● Used a spray gun to repaint the prop. Mixed different types of paint
  • Company sent me to Piqua, Ohio in the United States to visit Hartzell so I can attain more composite knowledge. I learned how to work with Carbon Fiber and a bit of Kevlar.
  • Required to do dimensonal checks on propellers to make sure they are within standards.

  • ● Helped with the arrival and departure of the aircraft
  • ● Wing walked the aircraft for departure, included disconnecting tow bar,removing by-pass pin, and disconnecting the pilot communication headset before take-off.
  • ● Helped in the Bag Room to organize the luggage so they get on the correct flight.
  • ● Stacked luggage in the cargo pit of the aircraft
  • ● Participated in grooming the aircraft for overnight stay and before the aircraft departure. This included cleaning the interior and re-stocking the lavatories.
