I bring several years of customer service experience from both the food industry and retail. Working in food service taught me time management, attention to detail, and how to think quickly on my feet. Retail pushed me out of my comfort zone and helped me develop strong people skills, whether I was connecting with customers in seconds, selling luxury sunglasses, or promoting Macy’s credit cards. These roles showed me the value of listening, building trust, and providing solutions that meet people’s needs.
After three years at San Joaquin Delta College, I transferred to CSU Sacramento, where I’m now a junior majoring in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting. Joining the Accounting Society has given me the chance to combine my networking skills with my growing knowledge of the field. Moving away from my hometown and leaving my job to pursue my bachelor’s has been a challenge, but it’s also taught me adaptability, discipline, and resilience. I’m excited to bring my positive attitude, people skills, and work ethic into my next chapter in accounting.
