Landscape & Learning (L&L) is a paid work experience program for young people ages 14 - 17 who live within the Sacramento city limits and are eligible for a work permit. Crews work directly in community parks and green spaces weeding, pruning, and providing general park maintenance and clean up. All young people hired to participate in this program received specialized training.

As a Popeyes Team Member, I delivered high-quality customer service by taking and fulfilling orders accurately, handling cash transactions, and addressing customer inquiries with a positive attitude. I assisted in food preparation, ensuring adherence to food safety and quality standards, and maintained a clean and organized workspace. My responsibilities included stocking supplies, managing inventory, and supporting team members to ensure efficient restaurant operations.

As a Costco Cashier Assistant, I supported the cashier team by efficiently processing transactions, handling cash, and ensuring accurate change. I assisted with bagging groceries, scanning items, and maintaining a clean and organized checkout area to enhance the customer experience. My role involved addressing customer inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and providing excellent service to ensure member satisfaction. I also helped restock and organize merchandise, contributing to overall store efficiency and a positive shopping environment.

For around 6 months in total (October 2023- December 2023 & April 24 - June 20024) I worked in my Costco’s sales department and as a Sales Associate I provided exceptional customer service by assisting members with product inquiries, locating items, and resolving issues, which contributed to high levels of customer satisfaction. I efficiently operated cash registers, managed transactions, and maintained accurate registers. Additionally, I stocked shelves, organized merchandise, and ensured store cleanliness to enhance the shopping experience. Collaborating effectively with team members, I helped achieve sales goals, execute promotional events, and uphold store standards, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in a fast-paced retail environment.
